17cÍøÒ³°æ Completes First Phase of Building Renovation
Renovations to the Couch Building progressed through the summer and fall, but the new facilities are now open! Updates include an overhaul of the recording studio and a practice room suite with instrument storage and sound-isolation booths.
Faculty and administrative offices were also updated, along with a new conference room.
More is coming to the Couch Building! An elevator will be added soon to improve building accessibility, and the 17cÍøÒ³°æ's top priority in the capital campaign is to renovate the rehearsal hall in Couch 115 to become an art+tech incubator space for students, with state-of-the-art technology for projection, lighting, virtual acoustics, spatial sound, recording and broadcasting.

This new office suite includes office space for band faculty and a conference room supporting hybrid meetings. Anyone in the 17cÍøÒ³°æ can reserve the conference room through our online calendar.
This faculty and staff office suite was renovated with new carpeting, lighting, a fresh coat of paint, and a kitchen.
