17cÍøÒ³°æ Tech Concert Orchestra

Dr. Timothy Verville, Conductor

Tonight’s performance begins with a showcase of chamber ensembles, highlighting the depth and versatility of our student musicians.

The full orchestra then takes the stage with Suppé’s Light Cavalry Overture, a lively and spirited work known for its galloping rhythms and triumphant melodies.

Following this, the winner of the 17cÍøÒ³°æ Tech Concerto Competition performs Beethoven's elegant fourth piano concerto.

This next piece is both lyrical and virtuosic, showcasing the soloist's agility and expressive depth: Weber’s Clarinet Concerto in F minor, first movement, performed by the competition’s runner-up.

The concert concludes with the Video Games Live Suite, a vibrant orchestral medley that brings the sweeping themes of beloved video game scores to life, demonstrating the power of symphonic music to evoke emotion and adventure across generations.
